At Carossel, Grade school is a school meant for young children between 5 to 13 years. At Carossel, we have some learning activities like reading, writing, educational games, pronunciation, brain teasers, and other scientific experiments.
Mission: Our mission is to provide children with opportunities for free-choice activities within a nurturing environment, allowing them to explore and learn through firsthand experiences. We aim to unlock each child's latent potential, fostering deep concentration and building a robust foundation across emotional, social, physical, linguistic, and intellectual domains. Our goal is to cultivate happiness, confidence, and independence in every child, preparing them for lifelong learning.
Classes: It ranges from 15 to 20 children to a Teacher & an Assistant. The Teacher prepares the environment and acts as a ‘Learning Designer’, encouraging children to choose the order in which to complete assigned tasks for the week and learn to manage their time through the use of a Weekly Plan. Children self-correct and review their efficiency levels at the end of each week. They then initiate the necessary action for greater efficiency the following week. Children have the opportunity to work on projects in pairs or groups with older or younger children due to vertical and fluid groupings. Individual programmes are brought to closure every fortnight as tests are taken to check full understanding of concepts. The Teacher re-arranges the classroom environment based on each child’s needs, interests and abilities. At the end of every term, the teacher produces a confidential progress report which serves as a basis for discussion with parents during Open Day.
Curriculum: – We use the Integrated & Cambridge integrated Curriculum, which is scientific both in its substance and its aim. This is a framework that specifies learning outcomes and knowledge of skills to be learnt.
